RAGFL Realtor® Idol Rocks Out Again
South Florida Realtors® displayed their vocal talents at the second-annual RAGFL “Realtor® Idol” contest. Hosted by radio personality Jay Michaels, the May 8th competition showcased RAGFL Realtors’® singing skills and talent. Over 180 contestants’ family, friends and peers packed Zo’s Off the Hook Sports Bar & Grille in Fort Lauderdale to cheer on the sixteen contestants.
And with the esteemed panel of judges - the Honorable Jeremy Ring, State Senator, District 32, the Honorable Martin Kiar, State Representative District 97 and the Honorable Lori N. Parrish (Broward County Property Appraiser) - the night was destined to be a success. The contest, which raised $7,000 for the Realtor® Political Action Committee (RPAC), lasted over 3 hours as each contestant belted out one of his or her favorite tunes.
With a tight competition, the three contestants with the highest scores moved into a second and final round where they each sang one last song. The loudest round of audience applause determined the winner. April McAdoo of Bradley Realty walked away with the grand prize of $500 and the title of RAGFL Realtor® Idol, Anita Yeates of Acquis Realty Advisors came in as a close second and JoAnn Goldstein of ERA Ace Realty took home a $50 gift certificate.
