The Purpose of the Myrtle T. "Andy" Anderson Memorial Leadership Award is to annually recognize one REALTOR® member of RAGFL who excels in a leadership capacity with unbounded willingness to help others and an acceptance of a responsibility to "give back" to the REALTOR® organization. The achievements and practices of such individual are worthy of recognition, not only to honor them for their contributions, but to allow others to benefit from their examples. This award is in recognition of the honoree's ongoing commitment to leading others to promote the advancement of the REALTOR® profession. The honoree will have shown to be a leading contributor to the real estate industry and the profession. Recipient will have played an active, ongoing role as an innovator and mentor for the REALTOR® community and will have demonstrated uncommon, outstanding leadership traits and skills and commitment in service to the REALTOR® organization.
All REALTOR® members of RAGFL, regardless of the status or length of membership, are eligible for nomination for the Myrtle T. "Andy" Anderson Memorial Leadership Award. It must be demonstrated that the nominee has brought credit to the real estate profession through demonstration of personal leadership traits and achievements in advancing the professionalism of the industry at the local, state, and/or national level; provided leadership guidance in ways that have benefited the REALTOR® organization and its members, or made other significant contributions that have advanced the Realtor profession in meaningful ways. Consideration will be given to nominee's level of devotion, service, dedication to excellence and contributions to the REALTOR® profession.
For consideration, nominated individuals' contributions will be judged on ideals including, but not limited to, the following:
- • Challenged the Process: Sought out challenging opportunities to change, grow, innovate and improve. Experimented, took risks, and learned from the accompanying mistakes
• Inspired a Shared Vision: Envisioned an uplifting and ennobling future; Enlisted others in a common vision by appealing to their values, interests, hopes and dreams.
• Enabled Others to Act: Fostered collaboration by promoting cooperative goals and building trust. Strengthened people by giving power away, providing choice, developing competence, assigning critical tasks, and offering visible support
• Modeled the Way: Set the example by behaving in ways that were consistent shared values. Achieved wins, both large and small, that promoted consistent progress and built commitment
• Encouraged the Heart: Instilled in others genuine enthusiasm, respect and pride for the real estate profession.
