The Government Affairs Department is entrusted with the oversight of those local, state, and federal political issues that affect-both positively and negatively-your ability to do business. The department, in conjunction with a committee of members, ensures the Association takes a role in issues where Realtors® might be adversely affected by proposed legislation, as well as supports legislation that helps members do business. The Government Affairs Department's efforts are part of the reason the Realtors® are judged one of the most influential special interests groups in the country, year in and year out. The Professional Standards Department, and the Grievance and Professional Standards Committees, enforce the Association rules and regulations, the Code of Ethics, and the bylaws approved by the general membership. The department ensures the integrity of the real estate profession and its members. Realtors® can mediate and arbitrate business disputes rather than litigate through the courts, saving time and money. The site, updated daily, features membership forms, a comprehensive calendar of events, online education course registration, news summaries, and even the local weather. As a member, you have access to more than 40 RAGFL and Florida Association of Realtors® approved forms. Created in a fillable PDF format, you can store forms on your computer and fill out the information electronically. The forms include listing agreements, sales contracts, lease forms, arbitration procedures, and ethics complaint packages.
On any computer, members can access the next generation property listing service through the Internet. Members have privileged access to MLXchange to locate, list and sell homes for clients.
