Important Industry Information

Unlicensed activity: Make the call

Did you know it's a third degree felony in Florida to act as a real estate broker or sales associate without a license? The state Department of Business and Professional Regulation urges you to report unlicensed activity by calling its new toll-free hotline at (866) 532-1440. And, to increase awareness among buyers and sellers of the pitfalls of working with an unlicensed real estate practitioner, the Department launched a 12-month print ad campaign in select real estate magazines. The ads encourage consumers to check the status of an individual's real estate license before conducting business.

Public Awareness

As the real estate market in many parts of the country becomes more balanced between buyers and sellers, RAGFL is utilizing the tools created by the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) to encourage home sellers to protect what could be their largest investment by enlisting the help of a professional.
